Auburn, Illinois – On Thursday, July 22nd, the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office Drug Interdiction and Response Team (DIRT) arrested Christina L. Smith, 35, of Auburn.
Recently, DIRT had been conducting a methamphetamine investigation in and around Auburn. During the course of the investigation, it was learned Smith was selling/delivering meth around Auburn. Based on this information, a Sheriff’s Patrol Unit conducted a traffic stop on Smith.
In her vehicle, DIRT located approximately 15 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a digital scale. She was arrested without incident. She was transported to the Sangamon County Jail, where she is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. She may face further charges as a result of follow up investigation.
Smith is also currently on parole from IDOC for Delivery of Methamphetamine.
